I am Dr Mike Marriott, a clinical psychologist, former Principal Lecturer in Psychology, and experienced leader in healthcare and higher education. Marriott Advisory is my independent practice, working with senior professionals and organisations through executive coaching, advisory work, service evaluation, and related consultancy.
My work draws on my leadership experience alongside clinical and academic expertise. I hold a longstanding interest in how people and systems respond to uncertainty, responsibility, and change. I’m particularly interested in helping people think clearly in complex professional contexts, where decision-making is shaped not only by immediate demands but by assumptions, organisational dynamics, and wider patterns in how a situation is understood.
Outside work, I am a husband and father of three. Family life, alongside learning to swim for endurance events, keeps me grounded in the practical realities of commitment, learning and change.
